Junior Science Bowl Goals:
The National Science Bowl® and its regional competitions are math and science competitions among teams of junior high/middle school students (grades 6-8) throughout the country. The program is designed to encourage students and teachers to achieve educational excellence in the sciences. The fast-paced question-and-answer categories are astronomy, earth and life sciences, computer science and technology, physics, chemistry, mathematics and general science.
Registration Opens: Registration is scheduled to open on October 1 at noon Eastern time.

Texas A&M Regional Junior Science Bowl will not offer the Solar Car Race.
The Texas A&M Junior Science Bowl champions win the opportunity to compete for the national title in the U.S. Department of Energy's National Junior Science Bowl. Trophies are also awarded to the top 4 teams at the Texas A&M Junior Science Bowl.
Code of Ethics:
The goal of competition is to give one's best effort while displaying honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. Students, coaches, parents and guests are expected to display courtesy and respect toward Science Bowl officials, other teams, and guests of the Junior Science Bowl. Failure to show honesty and/or courtesy by a participant, coach or guest of the team may result in the disqualification of the team.

Educational Outreach and Women's Programs realizes that in any competition differences of opinion about the judges interpretations may occur. It is the policy of the Outreach Programs to support the interpretations and final decisions of the judges panel.

The National Science Bowl® was created to offer students who excel in math and science,and the teachers who have prepared them, a forum to receive national recognition for their talent and hard work.
